The floor model is a replica of the Vosper 72"6' MTB 77. The Vosper company became famous for producing small and fast Motor Torpedo Boats (MTB) and Motor Gun Boats (MGB) for the Royal Navy during World War II. Among the various boats in production, the Vosper MTB 72'6 "stood out for its significant life cycle with different mission profiles, such as coastal patrol and anti-submarine warfare in the North Sea and the English Channel. Movements of 3 engines and with an impressive power of 4,200 hp, the Vosper MTB could reach a speed of almost 40 knots (70 km / h). The first versions were introduced at the beginning of the war, but gradually new variants, Type I and Type II, were introduced, characterised by a different combination of offensive and defensive weapons. They were usually armed with 457-mm torpedo tubes, depth charges and 0.303-inch Vickers machine guns or, more rarely, 0.5-inch Vickers machine guns for air defence. The crew consisted of from 10 to 13 men.
