For over 3 decades, TAMIYA has been known for reproducing the most beautiful, fastest and most popular cars as models. For example, 30 years ago the legendary TAMIYA Sand Scorcher on a scale of 1:10 was dedicated to the Volkswagen Beetle. In 2009, for the 30th anniversary, a Tamiya fan turned the tables and recreated the Sand Scorcher in 1:1 scale. This unusual "replica" was exhibited at the 2010 Toy Fair.

The anniversary model from TAMIYA is offered as a kit, just like 30 years ago. The technical basis corresponds to the original model, but there were some innovations for the Sand Scorcher 2010, such as new wishbones, wheel carriers and a modern electronic speed controller. Other components have been reinforced to ensure contemporary stability of the 40 cm long model. The standard equipment includes a robust fibreglass chassis plate, an extensive ball bearing set, a robust electric motor and oil pressure shock absorbers. Everything remains the same with the design of the plastic body, this will certainly please not only nostalgics.

Before you start assembling, you should have read and understood all the instructions. If a child is assembling the model, a supervising adult should also have read the assembly instructions.
Tools including knives are used when assembling the kit. Extra care should be taken to avoid injury.
If any difficulties arise during assembly, ask an adult to supervise the work or a modeller with RC experience or a specialist dealer.
Use tools only for their intended purpose. Incorrect use may result in injury.
If you use paints and/or glues (not included in the kit), note and follow the instructions supplied with them.
Keep kit away from small children. Prevent children from putting any components in their mouths or putting plastic bags over their heads.
