Product Description

The Bismarck is a German battleship from the Second World War that was commissioned on 24 August 1940. Along with its sister ship "Tirpitz", it was the largest ship in the Kriegsmarine. The Bismarck made her maiden voyage on 28 September 1940. It was sunk on 27 May 1941 during a sea battle.

The ship model created by COBI was produced in a scale of 1:300. It consists of 2,789 elements and is 86.5 cm long. The latest edition of the Bismarck is a ship that has been completely redesigned from scratch. It contains over 700 more bricks compared to previous editions. It faithfully reproduces the proportions of the historic ship and preserves all the essential elements, including the original camouflage. The district presents the so-called "Baltic painting", i.e. camouflage with e.g. black and white stripes and red tips of artillery turrets. Such colours were used during training in the Baltic Sea. Numerous blocks are printed in high quality and abrasion resistant! The model has numerous movable parts such as propellers, rudders, rotating turrets and gun barrels that can be raised and lowered. The set also includes a stand made of black brick with a plate on which the name of the ship is printed. The model is huge, has great display values and we highly recommend it to history buffs, maritime enthusiasts and collectors. It does not need to be glued or painted as its entire body and all elements are made of COBI building blocks.
