COBI-2282 - Marder III Ausf. M (Sd. Kfz. 138), model, 367 parts, 8 years and up
The Marder III fighter tank fought on many fronts in the Second World War. Until the introduction of the 88 mm guns, it was a very dangerous anti-tank weapon. The design of the Sd. Kfz. 138 Marder III Ausf. M was based on the chassis of the Panzer 38(t) Ausf. M with the engine located in the middle of the vehicle. The armament was a German 75 mm gun with a supply of 27 rounds. The vehicle did not have a fixed machine gun. The MG 34 or MG 42 rifle was carried in the crew compartment as optional personal armament. Like other Marder variants, the "M" version did not have a panel covering the crew compartment from above. Instead, the rear part of the crew compartment was closed.
In 1943-1944, about 975 examples of this Marder III variant were produced. The full name of the vehicle was Sd.Kfz.138, Panzerjäger 38(t) mit 7,5 cm PaK40/3 Ausf. M
MARDER III Ausf. M was developed to match the 1:35 scale figures and consists of 367 elements. The use of the latest elements from the COBI range enabled a faithful reproduction of the characteristic shapes of the original vehicle. The model's features include: working chain traction, rotating wheels, a place for a figure in the fighting compartment, a movable cannon and a machine gun mounted on a rail. All graphic elements are high quality prints. The figure shows a German fighter tank commander in characteristic uniform. The set comes with a shield on which the name of the set is printed. This set should not be missing in the Historical Collection in 1:35 scale! Build a history, brick by brick!
