The floor model is a replica of the HEMTT Gun Truck. The acronym HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck) identifies an off-road capable heavy-duty truck with eight-wheel drive, which was produced for the US Army from the mid-1980s onwards. Thanks to its features, the HEMTT can guarantee excellent off-road mobility and significant transport performance. It has become the true "workhorse" of the army, capable of transporting ammunition and equipment in a very effective way.
In many conflicts, such as Iraq and Afghanistan, it has been frequently adapted by the field workshops to the specific requirements of the crews in order to be ever more effective in the harsh operating environments. In addition, some HEMTT versions have been used modified for use in escort and convoy protection tasks. Some additional protection and defensive weapons were added.
