The floor model is a replica of the LCVP, including US infantry. The LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle and Personnel) was developed by Higgins Industries of New Orleans based on a flat-bottomed boat used in the Louisiana swamps and took part in all the major World War II amphibious operations in Europe and the Pacific. Its job was to shuttle between the big ships and the beaches, carrying up to thirty men, light vehicles and anything else that was needed. After the end of the Second World War, the LCVP remained in service and took on a number of roles. The LCVP saw service in Korea and Indochina and was also adapted for civilian use around the world.

- Tools, glue and paint are not included in the plastic kit. These must be purchased as an option.
