Product Description
The floor model is a replica of the German Fieseler FIL156 Storch. The Fieseler was a light aircraft with amazing STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) capabilities. The design included practical features such as folding wings that allowed the Storch to be easily transported and shock absorbers for landing gear that allowed the aircraft to land on rough surfaces. Field Marshal Erwin Rommel was also known for using his Fi 156 extensively for reconnaissance of battlefields in North Africa. The TAMIYA model kit version impresses with its accuracy of fit as well as its attention to detail.
