The floor model is a replica of the Flakvierling 38, which was originally developed for the anti-aircraft weapon for the Kriegsmarine, the 20 mm gun was also used by the German army on land and during the Second World War and was widely used here. So to create the Flakvierling 38, 4 of these guns were assembled to compensate for the low rate of fire. In its basic form, the Flakvierling 38 was loaded onto a vehicle, half-track, tank chassis, ships, barges or even trains to provide close air defence against Allied fighter-bombers.
