A real highlight from TAMIYA in the field of 1:48 aircraft models: The Lockheed Martin® F-35®A Lightning II ®! The model is a complete mould novelty and in-house development by TAMIYA. The aim was to create the most detailed model of this aircraft in 1/48th scale.
The F-35 is available in three versions: A for the Air Force, B for the Marines and C for the Navy. It was developed under the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter Program) and the F-35 was intended to be the fifth generation of fighter jets.
The aircraft has a sophisticated stealth design, a state-of-the-art network and countless sensors that provide all the data for the pilot and computer.
The F-35 entered service in 2015 and there are now 3,000 F-35s planned for use in many different countries.
