This 1:48 scale model is a replica of the P-51 Mustang, a fighter aircraft that became famous during the Second World War. This was one of the best fighter planes of the US Air Force at the time. Of all the different variants of this model, the P-51D is considered the original Mustang fighter and was the first production version with the famous "bubble" roof. 9,603 of this model were produced, more than all other variants combined. The Mustangs last combat mission was in 1956 during the Middle East conflict.
