The M1 Abrams has a particularly quiet Avco-Lyco-Ming AGT-1500 turbo engine with 1500 HP, and is equipped with an M256 120mm cannon.

A specialised piece of equipment, is a mountable "plough" for finding and neutralising mines and minefields.
