Model Kit,1:72 V-22 OSPREY Tilt Rotor

The project for the innovative Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was launched in the 1980s. But it was only after a long and complex development process that took over twenty years that delivery to the operational branches of the United States Armed Forces began. The V-22 is a tilt-rotor equipped aircraft with large three-bladed propellers that allow vertical landing and take-off like a helicopter. Its flight performance is comparable to that of a conventional propeller-driven aircraft. Thanks to two Rolls-Royce T406-AD-400 engines with 6150 hp, the V-22 manages to exceed 500 km/h in level flight. The United States Marine Corps uses the V-22 especially for landing support operations, in 2007 the Osprey took part in its first operational missions in Iraq.
