The floor model is a replica of the A6M3 Zero Fighter T32 Hamp. Over the years, much has been written about the Japanese Zero Fighter Aircraft series. Much was based on hearsay and legends and little on fact. Even the Allied forces and governments refused to acknowledge its existence at first and when they received a copy they could hardly believe the performance it gave. The Type 32 Zero had the most radical change in the entire series and was easily recognised by its angular wingtips. This reduced the overall span to exactly 11 metres and eliminated the cumbersome folding tips that took time during combat to get the aircraft into carrier lifts. The larger Sakae 21 engine gave the Type 32 a better rate of climb and the shorter wingspan reduced flying forces and increased rotational capability.
