Product Description

The USS Enterprise CV-6 was the second ship of the Yorktown class and was commissioned in 1938 as the sixth aircraft carrier of the US Navy. During the Pacific War, she took part in 18 of 22 major naval operations. In the process, she was severely damaged 15 times but always returned to action, becoming a symbol of the Navy's determination to achieve victory in the Pacific. In 1947, the USS Enterprise, affectionately known as "Big E", was decommissioned and finally scrapped from 1958 to 1960. To this day, she remains the most decorated ship in the history of the US Navy. The TAMIYA model kit shows the famous aircraft carrier as it was commissioned towards the end of World War II, including upgraded anti-aircraft (AA) armament and Hellcat, Corsair, Avenger and Helldiver aircraft.
