Product Description

The Alfa Romeo 8C is considered one of the most famous sports cars of the 1930s. The car's name derives from the engine used: a 2,336 cc 8-cylinder engine with a supercharger that became an icon in the automotive scene of the time. The 8C reflected the latest state of the art and was characterised by exceptional road handling and reliability. It also achieved significant success on numerous international racetracks. The 8C is also associated with the name of the famous driver Tazio Nuvolari from Mantova. Among his greatest successes were the victory at the Targa Florio in 1931 and the triumph at the Italian Grand Prix. The latter also earned the two-seater its nickname "Monza". The racing version of the 8C also served as a blueprint for a production series of almost 200 vehicles for the road market. On the occasion of Alfa Romeo's 110th anniversary in 2020, Italeri now presents the 8C of the 1930s as a 1:12 scale model kit.
