The standing model is a recreation of the Northern infantry and Zuaves. The Union infantry held the weight of the most famous battles (Bull Run, Antietam, Gettysburg) during the Civil War, suffering a very high number of casualties. The uniform was distinguished by the typical blue jacket. The officers often wore a tailored longer coat (redingote). Many infantry units adopted uniforms similar to those of the French Zuaven, which became famous during the campaigns in the Crimea and Italy, with dark blue tunics decorated with red white gaiters and the typical large red trousers. The uniform was completed with the red fez with tassel.
