The Opel Manta A is a classic that has gone down permanently in the history of the automobile industry. The top variant of the Manta turned out to be the GT/E model introduced in 1974 with a 1.9-litre engine (1897 cm³) and Bosch injection with an output of 105 hp. Manta reached a top speed of 188 km/h. The car could have a manual 4-speed or an automatic 3-speed gearbox. Manta achieved great market success, manifested by the phenomenon of "Manta mania" visible both in the car aftermarket and in mass culture.
