Dewoitine D.520, model, 335 parts, from 7 years old
The most modern French fighter aircraft from the Second World War. The Dewoitine D.520 was designed and built in 1938 by the aircraft manufacturer Société nationale des constructions aéronautiques du Midi. The Dewoitine D.520 was a single-seat all-metal low-wing fighter aircraft. In series production from March 1939, production of the aircraft was not interrupted by the surrender of France in 1940. Subsequent copies were made for the Vichy government, the Luftwaffe and the Italian, Bulgarian and Romanian armies. Polish pilots defending France were equipped with 26 aircraft of this type during the German invasion in 1940. In total, about 755 fighters were produced. The design proved so good that the aircraft remained in service after the war until 1953.
With 335 COBI building blocks you can build a faithfully reproduced Dewoitine D.520 fighter in 1:32 scale. Historical camouflage and markings (La France de Vichy) have been recreated with high quality prints that will not wear out even with intensive use. The model is equipped with movable elements such as propeller, ailerons, folding cabin and folding wheels. The set includes a figure of a French pilot equipped with an oxygen mask. The whole set is completed by a black stand with a sign with the name of the model.
The aircraft perfectly complements COBI's historical collection and is an ideal set for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs. Thanks to the display stand, the model cuts a fine figure in the room of a young builder as well as in the office of an adult building block fan. Build history, brick by brick!
