510004630 - Model kit,1:9 MV Agusta 1964 500cc 4cyl, from 14 years old
The floor model is a replica of the MV Agusta 1964 600cc.
First built in 1950, this Cardan geared motorbike reached a peak of reliability and competitiveness in 1956 with the introduction of a chain transmission and telescopic front forks. The 500 cc 4-cylinder MV Agusta was ridden by the most famous racers in the world - J. Surtees, M. Hailwood, G. Hocking and G. Agostini. Thanks to them, this almost unbeatable motorbike dominated the 500 cc category from 1956 to 1965, winning 9 world championship titles. It continued to compete until 1966, when it was retired to make way for a new, lighter and more manageable 3-cylinder motorbike.
