Checkers, board game, for 2 players, ages 6 and up

Checkers is a classic strategy game for two people.

It is played on a chess board with 8 x 8 squares or on the international board with 10 x 10 squares. Only the black squares are used.

Checkers has simple rules, is not difficult to learn and you can start playing quickly. The aim of the game is to capture or block the opponent's pieces. Only the pieces of one's own colour are moved forward to a free black square. If a square is occupied by an opponent's piece and the square behind it is free, the player may jump over the opponent's piece. The skipped opponent's piece is then captured and removed from the board.

The winner is the last player who still has pieces on the board.
