Product Description

The Vickers Wellington is a British World War II twin-engined basic medium night bomber. From October 1940 it was also used by Polish Aviation in the UK. This highly successful aircraft was produced from 1937 until the end of the war in 1945. It was produced in many different variants, which differed in equipment, not in basic design. Due to their low manoeuvrability, the Wellingtons mainly flew at night. They were also perfect for coastal patrols and submarine hunters. They were equally famous for their high resistance to damage sustained in combat.

The British Vickers Wellington bomber has been accurately reproduced from COBI building blocks in 1:37 scale. The aircraft is 53 cm long and has a wingspan of 71.5 cm. Creating such a huge model required the use of up to 1,162 elements. The set contains accurate prints that will not rub off with intensive use. History buffs will appreciate the printed historical markings of the 305th Bomb Wing of the Wielkopolska and Lidzka Region. The aircraft has rotating propellers, folding wheels and an open cabin where you can place two pilots included in the set. The hatch at the bottom of the plane opens and bomb dummies can be placed there. The whole set is completed by a building block with the name of the set.

This giant building block bomber model is not only fun to build, but also a detailed exploration of history. Build a story with COBI block by block!
