The CHINOOK is a powerful twin-engine multi-purpose military helicopter that has been in continuous production since 1961. Its characteristics are its banana-like shape and two propellers rotating in opposite directions, which made it possible to get rid of the vertical rotor. All the considerable power is used for vertical lifting. The helicopter can fly at a speed of up to 278 km/h. It was created for transporting soldiers and military equipment. It has a very popular and effective design that has been associated with the US Army since the Vietnam War. To date, the number of users of this helicopter worldwide is considerable.
