Deal with the Devil - German Edition is a Eurogame with a medieval fantasy theme. In it, each of the four players slips into a secret role, embodying a mortal, a cultist or even the devil. Because of these asymmetrical roles, each player has his or her own game objective.
In the secret trading phase, players can offer their resources to other players in exchange for money. The devil tempts mortals with valuable goods in exchange for a piece of their soul. Which cultists are happy to do without fear of consequences. Only the app supplied with the game knows who is trading with whom.
But be careful! Bragging about how well you're doing can attract unwanted attention and suspicion from other players. Or even arouse the interest of the Inquisition, which wants to punish all those whose souls are no longer intact.
There are many dynamic strategies you can experiment with in each new game. Will you sell parts of your soul early on to improve your city-building skills, even at the risk of being punished by the Inquisition? Or will you manage your money carefully and wait patiently for others to inadvertently reveal their nefarious nature? Every decision has consequences and each role has a unique strategic approach to explore.
