The way to become a good king. A very long time ago, when there were no humans, there were four bear clans who helped the king rule his empire in northeast Asia. Eventually the time came when the old king had to decide who to inherit his throne to. The clans sent their princes out into the world to acquire all the vital skills the next king would need. They traveled from town to town, erecting holy bear statues and in return acquired knowledge of religion, education, the arts of war and trade. A new journey begins. Who will be next on the throne?

The ingredients are made for a strong family game. Wangdo manages with very few, catchy rules and impresses with its optically and haptically great features. The short playing time of 30 minutes does not overwhelm younger players, but the mechanisms are tricky and allow well thought-out tricks.

The battle of the bear clans for the royal crown follows a simple but tricky pattern. In your turn you can either organize new bear figures. To do this, he draws three random bears from the supply bag or he takes two specific figures from the temple. There are up to four bear figures of each color. Or the player places a bear figure in one of the free villages on the game board and receives a science chip for it. The problem: bears have to be placed next to bears of a different color. That limits the possibilities. At the same time, the player must also give up a bear: one bear in the same color for each of the bears adjacent to the newly placed animal. These figures go to the temple, which means that there is always a certain supply to be found.

At Wangdo, the players have the best chances of replenishing their bear supply in a timely and tactical manner and placing one of the furry candidate kings in the appropriate village at the right moment. This is the only way to get the knowledge chips you need to win. The game is tricky, yet catchy, great fun for the whole family.
