Devil’s Spell lays the foundation for the new monster setting “Demons” and is primarily tailored for player use. The background section of this volume describes some of the best-known devil cults, their followers and machinations, famous personalities and suspected targets – all from the point of view of the oculut named Blue Tit, who infiltrated these cults at the risk of her life. The rules section introduces the new roles of Banishment and Invocation, on which many of the new professions are based. The professions of demon hunters are varied: the free handmaidens of Christ are brave, athletic fighters. The exorcists of the Chamber of Carmesin are strong-willed fighters against phantoms and haunted creatures. The Purified were once devil-spawns who saw the error of their ways and now fight against their former ally. The Sphere Protectors, on the other hand, have made it their business to find and close portals to hell. These are just a few of the six professions. But that’s not all, you will also be able to test out a new character concept, that of the possessed! The book contains 128 pages, hardcover with leatherette binding. The book is designed for the second edition of HeXXen 1733, but can easily be played with the rules of the first edition.
