The adventure path “The Outlaws of Alkenstern” is set in the highly technological city-state of Alkenstern and the surrounding, magically irradiated Manaöde, which is eponymous by Golarian standards.
This compendium contains material from Pathfinder products not otherwise published in German, which is intended for the expansion and extension of campaigns in general, but can also specifically strengthen the adventure path with further options.”Academy Life” presents a rules subsystem for academic studies and careers using the Magaambya as an example, with notes on how it can also be used for other universities, mage academies and educational institutions.
“Circus Life” is a rules subsystem for characters who have to travel the countryside with a travelling circus, planning and performing shows and keeping the company alive. This sub-system can of course also be adapted to similar enterprises that travel from place to place and hold performances of whatever kind. “Holomog” is the regional description of a country that borders Geb to the south, which actually already belongs geographically to South Garund, but should nevertheless be of interest to travellers in the region of the Intangible Lands.
“Megafauna” deals with prehistoric animals, some of which can be chosen as animal companions, especially in connection with the archetype of the Mammutherrn. Due to the mutating effects of the Manaöde, some animals there re-evolve to their primeval counterparts, and denizens of the Wastelands use similar techniques to tame these giants as the barbarians of the far north!
“Primitive Items” brings new equipment, often crafted with the simplest of means from whatever is at hand – after all, not everyone always has access to the mechanism-selling markets of Alkenstern.
“Pine Lesnik” is a new origin option for Lesniks.
Plus new talents, spells and, of course, monsters that might haunt the region around Alkenstern.Some come from the adjacent Mwangi Basin and might visit the city-state, others might spring from or be attracted to the effects of the Manaöde.
