The realisation came from the sky to selected cats, dogs, magpies, otters, fairy squirrels, marmots, badgers and other animals. Even before the so-called awakening, the moon played a major role, whether one howled at the moon, walked as a nocturnal animal only in its glow or its light offered orientation. Thus the moon signifies life for the awakened animals and is an ally in whose pale glow life takes place hidden from the two-legged creatures. The blood moon is a special sign: when the eternal white glow of the moon is bathed in a bloody red colour. The moon warns cats to be careful, dogs become almost frantic in the red glow and many a monster leaves its hiding place to hunt… the awakened ones.
