Herathis, the only harbour city in Selenia on the Elyrian Gulf, is old, rich, embattled, intriguing, whimsical, sinister … and known for this mixture far beyond its borders. There are many reasons to come to Herathis, be it the harbour with its lucrative maritime trade, the fading splendour of the patrician palaces in a network of canals, the research of the Circle of the Pinnacle in the mysterious Blackthorn or the prospect of a special find in perhaps the most famous fairy market in all of Lorakis. And at some point, every visitor will listen to the stories the city has to tell with a cosy shiver.
But a storm is brewing and dangerous tides are threatening to engulf Herathis. What is it about the missing ships that jeopardise the flourishing trade? Are the Patalians behind it?
