2.5D Zeppelin Puzzle – A fun DIY alternative to traditional jigsaws or puzzles

This 2.5D wooden model is inspired by the German airships of the early 20th century and named after the German inventor Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin. It has movable elements and comes with its frame, which you can hang on the wall or place on a table or shelf. The 2.5D Zeppelin from Ugears is an image model somewhere between a flat 2D image and a 3D model and offers 3 perspectives (side view, enlarged cabin view and front view). It has various moving parts such as propellers, rudders and stabilisers to bring your puzzle to life!

The first zeppelins had a long cylindrical body made of fabric stretched over a rigid metal structure. Inside were large gas cells that provided static lift. Engines with reversible thrust, propellers and a complex tail assembly on the outside ensured propulsion, manoeuvrability and stability. In 1929, the Graf Zeppelin airship flew around the world in 21 days. In addition to passenger transport, zeppelins were also used as bombers during the First World War and for scientific research projects in peacetime. The Hindenburg disaster on 6 May 1937 marked the end of the era of passenger flights, but modern zeppelins, which are filled with helium instead of flammable hydrogen, are still in use, mainly for sightseeing, advertising and aerial photography of sports stadiums.

To assemble your picture model, simply press the pre-cut parts out of the board using laser technology and then put them together. You can leave your zeppelin in its attractive natural wood state or paint, varnish or stain it in colour combinations of your choice (colours not included).
