Welcome to the ever-expanding fleet of vehicles in the incredible wooden model collection from Ugears. We are delighted to introduce you to our new favourite little vehicle: the fast and fun Desert Buggy. This miniature beach buggy is just waiting for you to take it for a spin.
If you’re new to the world of Ugears’ ingenious mechanisms, the Desert Buggy is one of the ideal models to familiarise yourself with. Unlike some of our advanced level models, the number of components is rather limited. Nevertheless, assembling the buggy is an interesting and exciting process that simply requires you to follow the detailed instructions with colour illustrations provided. No glue or special tools are required. The model kit contains everything you need to assemble it.
The Desert buggy is powered by a rubber-band motor. Thanks to the open design of the body, you can observe the movements of the gears and cogwheels when the motor is running. Simply wind it up, pull the button on the back of the model and your beach buggy will zoom off in a straight line. Or maybe not straight ahead: you can adjust the direction of travel of your little vehicle by turning the front wheels and let it drive in circles as if it were chasing its own tail! While the front wheels give your buggy manoeuvrability, the rear drive wheels give it stability. These are larger and have rubber tyres that ensure better traction and a smoother ride.
Like all Ugears models, the Desert buggy is made of fragrant natural plywood, the quality of which is tested by European laboratories. Thanks to its sustainable materials and original design, the model is a great ecological gift idea.
