The floor model is a replica of a ship named Yamamoto. The Yamamoto was completed in 1941 and was destroyed by American Navy aircraft carriers in the South China Sea during a one-way mission to Okinawa. The TAMIYA model kit version makes it possible to depict the ship in great detail after assembling it with the help of the high fitting accuracy.
