The floor model is a replica of the German Messerschmitt Bf109 E3 fighter. At the time of the fighter’s debut, it was the most advanced fighter ever released and was used as the Luftwaffe’s standard throughout the World War. The E variant of the fighter was produced from 1939. Within a year, 2,000 units of the aircraft were produced. The fighter contributed significantly to the successes on the Western Front as well as in the “Battle of Britain”. Due to the engine, it was possible to mount a 20 mm MG on this variant, which was fired through the propeller hub.
