The floor model is a replica of the Vought F4U-1D Corsair fighter aircraft. The first production version of the Corsair was the F4U-1, which had an inverted gull wing. Because of the wing, the Corsair often had problems landing. In addition, there was poor visibility because the nose of the aircraft was very long. The F4U-1D was launched with a clear visual canopy. It also had the ability to carry 5-inch rockets under each wing. In 1945, the F4U-1D was used for the first time in the attack against Japan.
