The floor model is a replica of the M551 Sheridan, which was designed as an air-liftable tank. Its innovative design with an aluminium alloy hull and its powerful 152 mm gun were impressive. Until November 1970, 1,600 units of the tank were produced. The tank’s first area of use was during the Vietnam War, where it took on both strafing and offensive duties. The TAMIYA model kit version impresses with its high degree of accuracy of fit as well as its attention to detail.
