The floor model as a plastic kit in 1:35 scale, is a detailed and faithful replica in a length of 27.3 cm and the modular armour – the 120 mm main gun. Rubber skirts on the lower hull and belt-like rails provide the base. The model is rounded off with 2 additional figures and 3 sets of markings to make the modellers’ dioramas even more realistic.

The Type 10 is the next generation battle tank of the Japan Ground Self Defense Force.

Now it joins its predecessors Type 61, Type 74 and Type 90 in the Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniatures series.The Type 10 was first introduced to the world in 2010 (hence the 10 in its name) and was assigned to units from 2012.

Among the many advances over its predecessor, the Type 90, is a Japanese-made 120mm smoothbore gun and the so-called C4I system.

This state-of-the-art computer system allows the Type 10 to connect to a network and share information with other tanks, enabling coordinated actions.
