The Toyota Soarer made its debut in 1981 and enjoyed great popularity due to its elegant style and luxurious equipment. The highest version of the second-generation Soarer, which underwent a complete model change in January 1986, is the 3.0GT Limited. The bodywork carried over from the first generation had further refined aerodynamic characteristics and was fitted with the 7M-GTEU engine, a twin-cam, 24-valve, in-line six-cylinder turbo that produced 230bhp, the most powerful domestically produced engine at the time. Developed by bringing together the best of the latest automotive technology. The Soarer was not only on a par with the GT cars of the world, but also made a name for itself as a top-class personal coupé that combined all of Toyota’s technology.
