In this game you are a small group of people who call yourself the Society of Dreamers. They suspect or believe that there are creatures who live in people’s dreams. Society members call these beings mnemosites. At first they don’t know anything about the mnemosites. Everything that is known about the mnemosites will come to light as the game progresses.
The game is set in 19th century Europe. In which city you play, you decide during the game. Historical facts and details can be used for atmosphere purposes, but are not absolutely necessary for playing. If you want to bring historical personalities or special locations into play, do so and describe them and do not worry about slight anachronisms.
Society of Dreamers is intended for 2–5 players. There is no game master and nothing has to be prepared – apart from reading the rules, of course. Everything else is done in the game. It can be played as a narrative game, but it also has enough aspects and clues to stage it as a LARP. It is played in four acts.
