In SpellBook you are mages taking part in the annual Great Ritual. For this competition, you gather around the vortex and fill your spellbooks with new spells. The Vortex releases magical essence, called materia, into the environment, which collects on the altar. You need this materia to learn new spells or to store it with your spirit companions, the so-called familiars. You get points for both at the end of the game. The competition ends as soon as one of you has learned all the spells or can no longer store any materia. Whoever has the most points at the end wins the competition.

Thanks to countless possible combinations of spells, you can play hundreds of unique SpellBook games.
