In 1957, Don Yenko began selling aftermarket vehicle parts at the dealership his father had opened in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. In the 1960s, completely redesigned vehicles with the SYC (Yenko Super Car) name on the bonnet were also sold here. In 1969, Yenko ordered COPO Novas with 7-litre engines from the factory. He made further modifications to these, resulting in genuine SYCs.
