The F-89 Scorpion was the United States Air Force’s first all-weather, two-seat fighter. It was also the most heavily armed fighter ever built. In 1950, the F-89D series appeared with extensive modifications.

A combined fuel/missile canister on the wing tip could hold 1165 litres of fuel and 52 FFAR missiles. The next larger series was the F-89J. The Scorpion kit comes in 1/48 scale with 120 parts and is especially suitable for advanced modellers.
