The game of Carrom, also known as finger billiards, demands both technical and tactical skill from its players. At the beginning, all the pieces are placed in the middle of the Carrom board according to a predefined formation. Each player now tries to sink his or her game pieces into one of the holes. To do this, the striker is flicked with the finger from the baseline. Each successful shot entitles the player to another try. The winner is the first player to sink all the pieces of his or her colour.
