The Dahan say: “When all air becomes water; when the sound of rain drowns out all but the loudest thunder; when simply no more water can fall at once – and then suddenly twice as much comes down: that is the downpour.” The spirit downpour drenching the world connects the high heavens with the lowest earth with its waters. It represents both an increase in growth and life and the flooding and sweeping away of simply everything except the strongly rooted plants. Although sometimes playful and friendly, he is above all a spirit of unbridled excess.

Torrential rain drenching the world is an additional spirit for Spirit Island with high complexity. With him, it’s often a question of “How useful is this ability to me right now?” He rarely plays all of his abilities before regaining them (some are also discarded as he grows), and the ones he plays can often be used multiple times. More than most other spirits, he benefits from having many presences on the island – both for “mudslides” and to support his starting abilities with more marshes.
