To get through the winter safely, Eddie the squirrel has been busy and travelled a long way in autumn to hide as many hazelnuts as possible in the forest. Now he wants to go home to his nest. But for the arduous journey home, he has to eat some hazelnuts from his winter stash …

In the co-operative mission Hazelnut, the players’ task is to guide Eddie the squirrel back to his nest and use up as few of his hazelnut stash as possible. In each round, they move Eddie through the forest using hazelnut cards that indicate different directions. To do this, the players each place a hazelnut card face down on the action board without consulting the others. At the end of the round, all cards are dealt with from left to right. If the players have assessed each other well, Eddie will make it home before his hazelnuts run out.
