As magi (mages), players in Black Rose Wars compete in an epic battle for supremacy of the legendary Black Rose Academy of Magic. In a contest for power and strength, the entire academy is transformed into a battlefield of magic. Only those who prove themselves worthy will lead the academy in the next decade and thus be able to harness the power of its namesake artefact, the Black Rose.

Each room of the academy has different abilities that the magi can skilfully use to their advantage. In addition, the magic they gradually learn gives them special strengths. Whether with the help of necromancy or raw destructive fury, there are many ways to prove yourself a rightful grandmaster. For a special challenge, the eponymous artefact itself takes part in the battle and puts the skills of the aspirants to the test.

Black Rose Wars is a competitive fantasy game with deck building and combat elements, set during an alternative version of the Italian Renaissance. 34 miniatures underline the fantastic game experience and the magical battle for the Black Rose.
