Eclipse 2nd Edition, board game (DE), for 2-6 players, ages 14+

For many years the galaxy was a peaceful place. After the relentless war between Terrans and the Hegemony, all major spacefaring species went to great lengths to prevent the repetition of events. Still, tensions are growing among the seven major species and in the Galactic Council. A confrontation seems inevitable.

In Eclipse, players become the leaders of huge, interstellar civilizations and fight with their rivals in eight rounds for supremacy of the galaxy. In each round, players expand their civilization by exploring and colonizing new sectors of space, researching technologies and expanding their space fleet. After the eighth round, the winner is whoever was able to collect the most points through winning battles, diplomatic alliances, control over sectors and monoliths, discoveries and technological achievements.
