The stand model is a replica of the M4A1 Sherman with US Army infantrymen. The M4 Sherman medium tank was the main tank used by the United States during the Second World War. It was produced in a significant number of units and formed the backbone of the United States armoured forces at the time. It was produced in several variants and versions. The first version to be produced on a large scale was the Sherman M4A1, characterised by the rounded edges of the fully cast upper hull. Even the turret had a rounded appearance. The Sherman entered combat in 1942 in the first months of the war in the armoured corps of the US Army. It was armed with the 75 mm gun, which was replaced by the 76 mm high velocity gun in the latest A1 version. Thanks to its Continental R975 petrol engine, the tank was able to perform well in all types of terrain. However, the tank’s main strength was its design. The Sherman was reliable, cheap and easy to produce in large numbers.
