The standing model is a replica of the French infantry of 1815, which formed the backbone of Napoleon’s Grande Armée. The “shako” headgear introduced in 1806, which replaced bicorn hats, and the Charleville 1777 musket are the most characteristic elements of the French line infantry. The equipment was completed by the briquet, a type of infantry short sword.
