The stand model is a replica of the VW Type 82 Kübelwagen. Rommel was the first general to use the Volkswagen during the military operation in France. He was so impressed that he later ordered more and more vehicles when he was in charge of the Afrika Korps. Despite its low power output of barely 24 hp and the driver only on the rear wheels, the Kübelwagen was immediately characterised by its enormous efficiency in all types of terrain.
