Ticket to Ride: Netherlands – Map Collection 4, for 2 – 5 players, from 8 years (DE expansion)

Amsterdam’s numerous canals make it the Venice of the North, but there are also countless waterways throughout the Netherlands. A train journey in this low-lying country takes you over many bridges. If you spend too much time enjoying the beautiful scenery, you will spend a lot of money on bridge tolls!

There is an ingenious new mechanism on this beautiful game board – almost all connections are double routes over bridges. When the first player takes possession of one of these routes, he pays the price to the bank with bridge toll tokens. If the second player chooses the other route, he must give his tokens to the first player! Players receive bonus points depending on the value of the bridge toll tiles they still own at the end of the game.

The Ticket to Ride – Netherlands expansion introduces money to Ticket to Ride for the first time. The players have to manage their limited budget, which in turn changes the choice of the right routes.

And then there is the big bonus for having the most money at the end of the game, which makes it even harder to spend money during the game.
