The North American P-51 Mustang is an American single-engine fighter aircraft used in World War II. It was manufactured at North American Aviation plants in the USA. Successfully used by the US Air Force and its allies in World War II and the Korean War. The highly successful 1940 design meant that the aircraft was continuously developed until 1986! Around 15,000 to 16,000 were produced in 46 years. Mustangs. Many of these aircraft are currently in private hands. To this day, Mustangs are eagerly used for demonstration flights and sports competitions.
